On April 23, 2022, creatives and poetry lovers gathered at RCCG Jesus Consulate in Ibadan. They attended the maiden Poetry Goes to Church edition.
Poetry Goes to Church is a Christ-centered platform for poetry, music, hymns, chants, and other creative expressions. It aims to minister to people. The event builds on the belief that talents are gifts from God. It calls for using talents to touch lives and spark change.
Under the theme “Talented for Positive Impact,” inspired by Ephesians 2:10 and 1 Peter 4:10–11, the gathering featured spoken-word poetry.
It also showcased poem recitations, songs, uplifting chants, hymns, and a word charge.
