Progress Over Perfection
As a creative writer, I often revisit pieces I wrote a long time ago to review them. When I do, I usually spot mistakes, lines that are not well-coordinated, or paragraphs that lack coherence. I would often tell myself, “Witty_Pen, this wasn’t a perfect piece, but you’ve made good progress to be able to see that now.”
I believe there are many other creatives out there who serve as their own sole audience. They write and keep their work hidden, record videos that are held captive in their gallery, or compose songs only to archive them. Why? Because they’re waiting for the “perfect” piece.
In my opinion, perfection is often the enemy of progress. I would rather encourage you to embrace progress. If you can’t find the courage to take a step, how will you ever gather the confidence to take a leap?

Choose progress over perfection. As the saying goes, “Practice makes perfect,” and it’s through steady progress that we move closer to perfection. Keep creating, keep learning, and above all, keep moving forward.
